Olin Epoxy, a division of Olin Corporation, has an opening for aChemistat its Roberta, Georgia manufacturing facility. This role independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering/scientific techniques, processes and criteria using judgment in making process adaptations and modifications. As an individual contributor, the Chemist carries out complex or new assignments requiring the development of new or improved products, techniques, and procedures and ensures overall quality control of processes, raw materials and products in line with regulatory and industry standards.

Essential Job Functions:
+ Provides chemistry and analytical support for quality assurance lab
+ Provides technical support to division management regarding product quality issues that can impact customer requirements or specifications of products
+ Develops standard operating procedures, modifies laboratory procedures and develops new analytical methods/techniques to ensure product quality
+ Ensures development of quality analytical procedures, methods and standards certifying technological processes and procedures, qualifying products and supervising testing
+ Develops quality policies, procedures, methodologies or modifications to ensure high quality products
+ Utilizes statistical tools to evaluate performance of methods and analytical equipment and manufacturing processes
+ Coordinates with manufacturing and other internal departments to define and resolve product quality problems
+ Maintains analytical equipment
+ Coordinates service for laboratory equipment and instruments
+ Assures adequate documentation and reporting of procedures, results and findings
+ Participates in the implementation of new products and transfer of technology
+ Plans, leads or coordinates quality related projects
+ Independently makes decisions on problems and methodology issues and secures necessary resources
+ Acts as an advisor to others as an expert in the field
+ May be required to back-up Quality Supervisor/Manager
+ Performs method validation
+ Coordinates ISO activities
+ Assists with training fellow employees as needed
Minimum Job Requirements:
+ Bachelor?s Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or Science-related discipline; Master?s Degree a plus
+ Minimum of 4 years laboratory or quality assurance related experience
+ Prior manufacturing, process or chemical plant experience highly preferred
+ Good written and verbal communication skills; creative problem solving skills
+ Ability to interface with all levels of employees
+ Attention-to-detail, ability to interpret data, including use of statistical tools and make or recommend adjustments based on findings
+ Knowledge of basic laboratory instrumentation
+ Experience using highly-automated analytical instrumentation, such as: AutoTitrators, FTIR, Rheometer, DSC, and viscosity, density, and color measurements
+ Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office; SAP preferred
+ Quality data management systems or laboratory information management systems preferred
+ JMP or similar statistical software experience preferred
+ Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on laboratory equipment preferred
+ Knowledge and experience with quality programs (i.e. certification/documentation requirements, etc.) preferred
+ Must be able to obtain a TWIC
Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
