Olin Epoxy, a division of Olin Corporation, has an opening for an Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (EHS&S) Specialist located at the Roberta, GA facility. This role coordinates and conducts field assessments of environmental, health, and safety issues to ensure all operational activities are consistent with the needs of Olin and requirements of governmental regulatory agencies and performs complex assignments often requiring development of unique solutions to environmental, health and safety problems because of the variables involved. The EHS&S Specialist may assume responsibility for a specific environmental, health, safety, or security concern of limited and structured scope as well as participate in more comprehensive programs. He or she will also provide technical EHS&S coaching and expertise to the broader organization.

Essential Functions/Basic Duties:
Working within corporate/division strategies and policy frameworks, designs, proposes and implements health, safety, process safety, security and environmental guidelines and procedures within broad principles and policies set by the organization to meet EHS&S requirements supporting short and long-term business needs and consistent with the EHS&S Risk of the location
Ensures that Responsible Care criteria requirements are met
Provides technical EHS&S expertise and coaching to facilitate broad accountability of the EHS&S process
Provides targeted assistance to support site and organizational EHS&S action plans
Prepares reports in accordance with the company policies and submits by required deadlines
Prepares governmental reports and participates in representation with outside agencies
Maintains knowledge of laws and regulations affecting the organization's operations and assures compliance with division and government health, safety and environmental standards
Participates in plant audits and interfaces with internal and external auditors and regulatory and government agency personnel
Collaborates with employees and supervisors to identify and correct potential environmental, safety, security, and health hazards
Participates in developing corrective measures and driving actions to completion and sustainment
Investigates accidents or problem areas (manufacturing, logistics, etc.) and recommends future preventive measures
Represents the organization at external forums and gathers information to inform policy
Develops safe standard work practices with line personnel and monitors conformance through safety and housekeeping inspections
Executes EHS&S capital and expense related projects
Essential Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree ; Environmental, Safety or related discipline strongly preferred with 2 years of related EHS&S experience in a manufacturing environment OR
Minimum 5 years related EHS&S experience in a manufacturing environment
High School Diploma is required
Prior chemical industry experience highly preferred
Ability to offer guidance on all aspects of Safety, Health and Environmental issues
US regulatory/compliance knowledge
Ability to understand and prioritize initiatives
Successful candidate will be a team player; demonstrate ability to be flexible and adaptable and ability to deal with ambiguity
Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, verbally and in writing
Must be able to develop and effectively deliver verbal presentations and conduct safety related training
Ability to gain trust and buy-in; ability to influence
Ability to respond during crisis and high pressure situations and rapidly adjust to changing priorities as needed
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required; SAP preferred
Preferred Skills include:
Behavior-based safety processes knowledge
Knowledge of OSHA, PSM, DOT, FMSCA and hazardous transportation regulations
Emergency response, first aid, fire safety, or security experience
Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
